We are just a few short hours from the season finale of Shadowhunters. It’s crazy that just a year ago, we were getting news of the show and the casting info started to roll in not long after. Each episode has made us delve much deeper into the realm of the Nephilim than the big screen adaptation counterpart, and fans are loving that we have had this second chance to see Cassandra Clare’s works come to life.
At the heart of the show is a fiery red-head, Clary Fray, who is determined to learn more of her family’s secrets and protect those she loves from her evil father, Valentine Morgenstern, all the while trying to balance a somewhat complicated love life and become a badass Shadowhunter. Katherine McNamara, or Kat for short, landed the role of Clary last year and has proven herself to fans in this first season of the Freeform rookie show. I had a chance to get to know more about Kat in a recent interview, talk about what this show has meant to her and find out some fun facts about the her life on set.

I’m starting a new (and hopefully regular) blog series to promote and review more books for you! I’m excited kick this blog series off by sharing a book blog tour for Rainbows and Raindrops by Lynn & Morris. Here’s what is in store for the first of the Rainbowland series novel.
Before… They are the Musketeers–one for all and all for Rain, or however that saying goes.
Now that Rain’s sixteen, freedom is at her fingertips. Cliff jumping at the lake. Rain’s first tattoo. Spence finally asking her out. With her friends by her side, there’s no reason Rain can’t be happy in a world that constantly tries to extinguish her addictive, carefree spirit.
After… It’s just Rain. No misfits and no Musketeers.
Until Rain pulls up to her new summer job and discovers the two people she’s been hiding from–Spence and Landon– are her new cabin mates. Landon’s determined to help Rain overcome her guilt and remember what once was. As they become closer, he awakens a part of her soul she never thought she’d feel again.
Making Rain wonder if, despite all the mistakes she’s made, it’s worth trying to get back to the girl she used to be.
The writing duo of Lynn and Morris consists of authors Kelley Lynn and Jenny S. Morris. Their debut novel, Road to Somewhere was published March of 2014 by Bloomsbury Spark. Though romance plays a part in every one of their stories, they found as a team they enjoyed testing and exploring other bonds in life like those between sisters, or a group of misfit friends who have no one else in the world but each other. You can find more about Rainbows and Raindrops on Goodreads. Follow @JennySMorris and @KelleyLynn1 on Twitter.

My heart is exploding now that I’ve seen our Shadowhunters fur babies Church and Chairman Meow! We knew they were supposed to show up at some point in the season, thanks to Harry Shum Jr., but seeing them is incredible! This clip looks like they are in another dimension, a dream, etc., but you see Clary and Magnus as they talk. Chairman Meow pops out of nowhere and Magnus shares the deets on his two felines.
It looks like Chairman Meow looked young and feisty, popping out of nowhere while Church was just a frumpy and grumpy looking as I could imagine. What are your thoughts on seeing the cat duo in the show? Let me know in the comments.
